No change in MJC stance on Kashmir: Salahuddin

Islamabad: Muttahida Jihad Council (MJC) has contradicted some spats of press reports regarding change in its stance on Kashmir issue. 'MJC does not change its stance on Kashmir issue and the reports about it are baseless and concocted', MJC chairman Syed Salahuddin told Online Monday. He said MJC is persistence on its stance that Kashmir issue must be settled in line with UN resolutions. Mr Salahuddin, who is also Hizbul Mujahidin Supreme Commander, added that Kashmiris should be provided an opportunity to decided about their future. He said MJC stance on Kashmir is in accordance with Kashmiris aspirations. 'Baseless and wrong news reports of Indian media about MJC and Kashmir freedom movement is a conspiracy against Kashmiris struggle for freedom', he added. MJC chairman noted that India's baseless propaganda and state terrorism could not thwart Kashmir freedom. To a question, he rejected Indian army's claim that Mujahidin activities slow down in occupied Kashmir adding, Mujahidin activities are underway according to new strategy and plan.
