23 to cross LoC at Poonch tomorrow

Poonch: Twenty-three people will cross over to Azad Kashmir from Chakan-Da- Bagh in Indian-administered Kashmir tomorrow (Monday), when the Line of Control (LoC) opens for crossing.The names of the people crossing over have been cleared by both countries' foreign ministries, Indian newspaper the Daily Excelsior reported. This is the first time that such a large number of civilians will cross the LoC from the Indian side. Earlier, the Indian authorities had never allowed more than eight people to cross over at a time.Police and civil authorities have made arrangements for crossing at both Tattapani and Chakan-Da- Bagh. A decision on which point to open will be taken on Sunday, sources said.However, no one is scheduled to cross over from the Pakistani side to Indian-administered Kashmir. 'Until now, we have not received any report of LoC crossings from AJK to this side,' sources in Indian-administered Kashmir said.
