Security Forces Gun Down Two Terrorists In J&K

Jammu: An Indian Army soldier and two terrorists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir on early Friday following a fierce gun battle when security forces raided a hideout. In the incident in Darhal area of Rajouri district, 180 km northeast of this winter capital, a third terrorist managed to escape. Police said the soldier was killed in the initial exchange of fire after the raid. In the retaliatory fire, two terrorists were gunned down while a third managed to escape. 'We are looking for the third terrorist,' a police officer supervising the operation from Rajouri said. Three AK-47 rifles have been recovered from the site. Anti-terrorism operations have intensified in Kashmir in the past few weeks. On Wednesday, six terrorists were killed in a gun battle in Budgam district in central Kashmir.
