Two Army Personnel Killed In J&K Ambush

Srinagar: Two Army personnel were killed in an ambush by terrorists in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said on Wednesday. Rifleman Sulaiman and Hawaldar Charan Singh were killed when heavily- armed terrorists opened fire on a patrol party of Rashtriya Rifles at village Pooniwah in Kulgam area of south Kashmir's Anantnag last night, the sources said. They said the army troops fired back but the ultras managed their escape after the gunbattle, taking advantage of darkness. A massive hunt has been launched by security forces to nab the terrorists, the sources said. No terrorist outfit has claimed responsibility for the ambush.
