APHC Leaders Observe Indian Independence Day As Black Day

Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) here Monday held a protest demonstration to mark Indian Independence Day as Black Day. The protest call was given by APHC, PTV reported. The protestors carried placards and banners inscribed with anti-India and pro-liberation slogans. The leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference staged a sit in in front of the Indian High Commission. Addressing the demonstrators, the speakers said resolution of Kashmir issue is imperative for durable peace in South Asia. The leaders appreciated that process of dialogue between Pakistan and India and said it was made possible due to successful foreign policy of President General Pervez Musharraf and Pakistan Government. They urged India to stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and demanded resolution of the dispute according to the wishes of Kashmiri people.
