Islamabad: The Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) has dropped hardline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani from its guest list and instead has invited moderate leader Mirwaiz Umer Farooq for its 32nd Foreign Ministers Conference in Yemen. The decision of the 56-member grouping appears to have been influenced by Pakistan which of late has given Geelani a cold shoulder for turning down Islamabad's invitation to visit the country along with Farooq and other separatist leaders. JKLF chief Yasin Malik and separatist leader Shabir Ahmed Shah have also received invitations. Till recently, OIC invites were sent only to the Geelani faction, which had Pakistan's recognition. Since Farooq's visit to Pakistan, state TV has referred to the Mirwaiz as the APHC chief - a title previously given to Geelani.
