Islamabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said on Wednesday that the leadership from held Kashmir should be allowed to visit AJK. Talking to a television channel from Srinagar, he said 'We believe it is necessary for Indian and Pakistani governments to secure support at both political and freedom fighters' levels before taking any big step with reference to the Kashmir issue.' APHC leaders should be provided an opportunity to visit Azad Kashmir to hold talks with the leadership of AJK, he said. A conducive and positive atmosphere had been created in which an acceptable solution to the Kashmir problem could be found, he said. He said the step-by-step approach in the dialogue process should be sustained and a timeframe should also be set for the settlement of the Kashmir issue. 'We believe that time is ripe for taking a good initiative towards the resolution of the Kashmir issue,' he said. He termed the commencement of the bus service a positive step. He stressed that it was necessary to make progress towards a settlement of the real issue.
