21 Bangladeshis Arrested In J&K

Jammu: Army has foiled an exfiltration bid along the line of control and arrested 21 Bangladeshi nationals near Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir, where one activist of Hizbul-Mujahideen was arrested since Monday night, official sources said. A group of Bangladeshi nationals, including six females and two children, were trying to cross over to Pakistan, when army troops stopped and arrested them near forward post of Hiranagar in Kathua district on Monday night, the sources said. Nothing incriminating was found in the possession of Bangladeshis, the sources said, adding they were later handed over to police. Troops also arrested one over ground worker (OGW) of Hizbul identified as Zakir Hussain from Saldhar area in Mahore tehsil of Udhampur district on Monday night, they said. He was sent to joint interrogation centre, they said adding more arrests are likely to be made in this connection.
