Srinagar: Hizbul Mujahideen has strongly denied that it was involved in the grenade attack on the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti's cavalcade here yesterday. In a faxed statement to a local news agency CNS, Hizb spokesman Junaidul Islam said his organisation has already made it clear that only security forces are its target and that 'freedom' is their goal. The politicians working for Indian interests have already been rejected by people. They have no status in Jammu and Kashmir. Hizb does not consider it important to take action against them, he claimed. The spokesman alleged that Indian agencies through their agents carry out such attacks to defame militants.' Kashmiris are aware about their designs and Hizb need not to give any clarifications', he said.
