Islamabad: Pakistan has clarified that it has no intentions to convert the Line of Control into a permanent border with India. Refuting reports that Pakistan and India were working on turning the LoC into a permanent border, Foreign Office spokesman Masood Khan said: 'There is no such conspiracy as Pakistan is not negotiating by giving permanent status to the LoC.' Commenting on India's Cabinet Committee on Security's (CCS) observation last week that Kashmir was an integral part of India, Khan said that the final status of Kashmir was yet to be determined. According to The News , while justifying Pakistan's stand that Kashmir was a disputed territory, he said that if it was not disputed then both countries would not be discussing it at the UN or holding talks at Tashkent, Simla, Lahore and Agra. Even the international community, like the G-8 and the EU Parliament, had focused on the dispute.
