Jammu: Security personnel have seized a 'card bomb' from a militant hideout at Domana Gontha area in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district. In the last 15 years of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir, troops have come across pen bombs, transistor bombs and explosives in cricket bats. The seizure if the 'card bomb' has surprised the authorities. Two members of the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, Abdul Haider and Abu Wahid, were killed on Wednesday in an encounter. Besides heavy weaponry, the troops of 19 Rashtriya Rifles and the State police recovered a greeting card marked 'Just for You' at the spot. The card had an electric circuit, three small cells, a condenser, a microphone, two wires and 50 gm of explosive material. A plastic layer was fixed between the battery and the explosive material in such a way that it would explode when the card was opened. A diary containing names of several prominent persons and phone numbers of the local representatives of international news organisations was also recovered.
