Situation improves in Gilgit

Gilgit: The administration Wednesday allowed relaxation in curfew for six hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the seventh day of imposition of curfew in the entire Municipal limits of Gilgit as the situation was continuously improving, says an official hand out. However, according to reports undeclared curfew was imposed in Skawar and Al- Asr colony, the outskirts of Gilgit city, where administration feared that some protest demonstration could be carried out by the locals. Paramilitary forces also set up temporary pickets and taken the position to avoid untoward incident. The residents of those suburb localities have been ordered not to come out of their houses.
