APHC Calls For Complete Boycott Of Monday Polls

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the people of Udhampur, Doda, Kathua, Leh and Kargil district to completely boycott the 4th and final phase of the sham polls on Monday as the people did in other parts of occupied territory in the first three phases. People of these districts were also urged to observe protest strike against farcical polls tomorrow, reports Kashmir Media Service. The liberation leaders have appealed to the people of Udhampur, Kathua, Doda, Leh and Kargil to totally boycott the 4th and final phase of the Indian Lok Sabha farcical elections tomorrow (Monday) as people did in the first three phases of the polls ploy. The appeal was made by the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Party chief, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik and the Head of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Shaikh Abdul Aziz. The three leaders emphasised that the boycott was imperative to make it possible for Kashmiris' participation, at appropriate stage, in India-Pakistan composite dialogue. They added that the boycott is also essential to safeguard the geographical unity of Jammu and Kashmir and to strengthen the historical, emotional and ideological bonds of the people.
