Girl Killed, Another Hurt In Explosion

Srinagar: A girl was killed and an other injured in an IED explosion at Deyalgam-Anantnag. The deceased was identified as Naza. Reports said an IED was concealed near the wall of the house of a retired teacher Ghulam Mohammad Wagay. As the family members were sitting in the compound of the house the explosive device exploded. The house owner's daughter Naza and daughter in law Yasmina were critically injured. Naza later succumbed to her injuries in hospital. Another IED planted near the wall was later defused by the bomb disposal squad. An unidenfied body was recovered from Langanbal-Pahalgam, police said and added that militants hurled a grenade towards the house of Ghulam Ahmad Baba at Darigam-Budgam. The grenade exploded near the house and caused some damage to the structure. However, no casuality was reported.
