Srinagar: National Conference president Omar Abdullah has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission and sought punishment for PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti for what he called violating the law during the second phase of polling. Omar said Mehbooba Mufti had not only scared genuine voters away from various polling booths but also jeopardised the security of a noble lady at a polling station in Sonwar. By raiding booths and pushing aside the veil of a respectable woman and denying her the right to vote, Omar said Mehbooba has violated the law of the land and should therefore be punished.
