Chrar-e-Sharief: At 53 per cent, Charar-i-Sharief recorded the highest percentage of polling in Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency on Monday. The assembly segment has a total of 62,364 voters. Meanwhile, Habba Kadal, a constituency of 67,519 voters, registered the lowest polling percentage of just one per cent. It had also witnessed the lowest percentage of polling during Assembly elections in 2002. In Charar-i- Sharief, there were some reports of rigging but the election authorities denied the allegations, saying that the polling was peaceful barring an incident of rifle grenade at Achigam, a polling station, that left a teenage girl injured.
