Protests In Delhi Over J&K Bill

New Delhi: Protests against the controversial Jammu and Kashmir Permanent Resident (Disqualification) Bill spilled over to the streets of the capital today as a large number of activists of the Delhi Pradesh National Panthers' Party held a demonstration near the Congress headquarters and submitted a memorandum to its president, Sonia Gandhi, seeking immediate withdrawal of the measure and removal of the J&K Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, for his alleged betrayal of the common minimum programme of the coalition. The 'open memorandum' 0 sought Ms. Gandhi's immediate intervention to check the 'anti-women act' of the Congress-PDP led coalition in Jammu and Kashmir.
