Srinagar: The head of his own faction All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Maulana Abbas Ansari has appreciated the Pakistani statement that Hurriyat leaders will be welcomed if they want to come to Pakistan . 'Pakistani statement is very encouraging and we welcome it,' Abbas Ansari told Radio Tehran in Srinagar . He said that the Hurriyat wants all the parties involved in the Kashmir issue to play their role in resolving the issue. 'Hurriyat Conference wants to serve as a bridge between India and Pakistan,' he maintained. Pakistan's Foreign Office Spokesman at a press briefing the other day said that if the Hurriyat leaders want to come to Pakistan, they will be welcomed. It may be recalled that APHC (Ansari group) has recently held talks with Indian Deputy Prime Minister L. K. Advani on the Kashmir issue in New Delhi. However, Syed Ali Shah Gilani, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman has rejected these talks .
