SRINAGAR: A Kashmiri militant group on Wednesday threatened to kill the leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference if they started a dialogue with the Indian government. The threat from the Jamiat-ul- Mujahideen group came a day after the Indian government formally invited the Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference for unprecedented talks on January 22 aimed at ending years of conflict in the disputed Himalayan region. 'Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen warns Abbas Ansari and his like-minded people not to bow before New Delhi,' Mohammad Omar, a senior member of the group, said in a statement. Ansari is Hurriyat's chairman. 'We warn that anybody who sells out Kashmir will be punished by death,' he said. -Reuters
