India Ready To Discuss Kashmir With Pakistan - Vajpayee3 January 2004 News Network International
Islamabad: India is ready for an open discussion with nuclear-armed rival Pakistan to resolve their dispute over Kashmir, but talks will take time to yield a result, Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee said on Saturday. 'It is our belief and correct belief that Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India, but we are ready to talk about it openly,' Vajpayee said in an interview with Pakistan Television. 'I think there has not been a solid discussion on this question,' he said. 'The world has been saying you people get together and resolve your issue among yourselves. This will take time.'
