Jammu: In a bid to sideline Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Jamat-e- Islami has removed him, along with two others, from 'active services' of the party. Senior Jamaat leader Ashraf Seharai will now head Jamaat's political bureau and will possibly replace Geelani in the separatist conglomerate. According to the Jamaat-e-Islami constitution, all full-time workers of the party must retire at 65. This retirement policy was revived three years back. However, the retired members do not lose their basic membership.
