Srinagar: Jamaat Islami IHK leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani telling NDTV said that he no longer has anything to do with the Hurriyat. He accused the Hurriyat of being insincere and hinted that he would form his own front . Leaders of the separatist group met in Srinagar for the first time since the election of their new chairman, Moulvi Abbas Ansari, last week. But Geelani's party, the Jamaat-e-Islami stayed away. Geelani said he is no longer a part of the group after the new chairman refused to give in to his key demand - the expulsion of Sajjad Lone's People's Conference . Geelani accuses the People's Conference of putting up proxy candidates in last year's assembly elections . 'When Hurriyat is deviating from reality and hiding facts, in this situation continuing in the group is out of question for me. I am saying this with full faith and confidence so far as the role of the Hurriyat with regard to election 2002 is concerned. Also, its new chairman who is hiding facts and gave a clean chit to People's Conference suggest that Hurriyat is not sincere,' said Geelani.
