Srinagar: Democratic Freedom Party leader Shabir Ahmad Shah has criticised Hurriet Conference leaders for forgetting the people who have sacrificed their lives to get Kashmir to the focus of attention. He was speaking in a Tral village where two young men were killed in custody, a spokesman of the party said. Nazir Ahmad Bhat and Ghulam Mohammed Bhat were killed after being arrested by the security forces, it said. It was because of the sacrifices of the people that the two countries are on the path of friendship. 'But at this time, the Hurriet leaders are busy in unnecessary issues fighting with each other', Shah said. He wondered that in this useless battle, the Hurriet leaders have forgotten that they should come to the people and express their condolences and sympathies. Shah termed the ruling party policies as 'crocodile tears' and said the killings of the innocents were going on. Shah said that militants offered their sacrifices and managed to get the Kashmir issue out of the closet. It is upto the political leadership to take the freedom struggle to the logical conclusion. He said Kashmiris have the strongest case and they will win the battle.
