Three Injured In Heavy Shelling In Poonch

Jammu: Pakistani forces shelled Balakote area of Poonch district along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday night injuring three civilians, including a woman, official sources said here on Wednesday. Troops from across the border targeted civilian and forward defence locations in Dheri, Gholad and Dherena areas of Balakote, prompting Indian troops to retaliate, they said. Three persons identified as Mohammad Hussain, Mohammad Qayoom and Sofia Bi were injured in the shelling and hospitalised, the sources said. Indian and Pakistani troops also exchanged fire at Chambyal, Kullian and Suchetgarh in Jammu district and Bhawani sector in Rajouri district, they said.
