US, UK Condemn J&K Killings

New Delhi: The US and UK have condemned the killings in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir and said the war against terrorism would be continued. British foreign minister Jack Straw spoke to external affairs minister Yashwant Sinha over phone and expressed his 'shock at the appalling murder and attacks on innocent civilians by terrorists'. Saying that the UK 'strongly condemns such acts', Straw said: 'These killings, as with earlier terrorist attacks, underline the need for continued action to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.' US ambassador Robert Blackwill, in a statement issued here, condemned the killings saying: 'The global war on terrorism will not be won until such atrocities end against all countries.' Extending condolences to the bereaved families, he said: 'We look forward to the terrorists being brought swiftly to justice.'
