RAIPUR: Former Union Law Minister Ram Jethmalani today spoke in favour of a dialogue with Pakistan for hammering out a solution to the Kashmir imbroglio. 'The Atal Behari Vajpayee Government's stand against a dialogue is improper. None should adopt an adamant attitude in such matters. Concrete efforts are required to find a solution to the vexed issue,' he told the press here. Pointing out that the Kashmir Committee had tried to create an atmosphere conducive to a solution, the 'legal eagle' said, 'the committee was successful in its effort to impress upon the Hurriyat not to adopt the path of militancy. Pakistan's situation is weak and India must seize this opportunity.' Fielding a query on Ayodhya, Mr Jethmalani said, 'both communities have to make efforts to resolve the dispute as keeping the issue alive is neither in the interest of the nation nor of society.'
