No infiltration on LoC, FO tells Nancy Powell

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Friday reiterated that there is no infiltration on the Line of Control. US ambassador Nancy Powell was told at the Foreign Office that Pakistan has taken all measures not to allow any infiltration. According to a Foreign Office statement, Additional Foreign Secretary Aneesuddin Ahmed met US ambassador Nancy Powerll at the Foreign Office on Friday and discussed the statement made by the ambassador at the American Business Council of Pakistan in Karachi on Thursday. 'Pakistan's position regarding the LoC was reiterated, namely that there was no infiltration on the LoC. Pakistan has taken all measures not to allow any infiltration', said the statement. 'Pakistan had repeatedly called for the deployment of UN Observers on both sides of the Line of Control to verify the situation. Pakistan stood by its commitment to the international community. Similarly, Pakistan also expected the international community to fulfill its commitments for the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute', concluded the statement.
