Gillani's health concerns Benazir

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on Thursday expressed concern over imprisoned Kashmir leader Syed Ali Gillani's deteriorating health.Doctors recently discovered a cyst in Mr Gillani's kidney that could turn cancerous.Ms Bhutto called for Mr Gillani's release on humanitarian grounds given his old age and ailment in a statement released by the party's Media Cell. Mr Gillani is 78 years old. He was imprisoned again last June amidst charges that he funded Hizb-ul- Mujahideen, a Kashmiri separatist group.Mr Gillani is noted as a political activist of the Kashmiri movement. He is being held in an Indian prison in Jharkand.
