5 Al-Badr militants held in Jammu

Jammu: Busting a module of the al-Badr outfit, Jammu and Kashmir police has foiled its major terrorist plan to strike in Jammu city by arresting five militants including a Pakistani national and a woman, police sources said. Police nabbed Azhar Hussain alias Abu danish alias Mohd Iqbal of Kala Gujran village in Jhelum district of PoK and his associate Gulzar Bibi, a 22-year-old married woman from Rajouri, at a hotel barely 100 metres from Raghunath Temple here, a terrorist target twice, since last evening, the sources said. The three associates of the duo - Abdul Qayoom, Nazir Ahmed (both shopkeepers) and Zaffar Iqbal - were nabbed in Rajouri district, they said. An AK assault rifle, four magazines and 200 rounds have been recovered so far, the sources said adding the operation, was still on.
