Jammu: About 120 Jammu State Morcha activists held demonstrations and courted arrest accusing the new state Government of being ''anti- Jammu'' and demanding statehood for the region as the civil secretariat opened here on Tuesday after the bi-annual ''Darbar move''. The activists first took out a procession and then held a demonstration at Shalimar chowk. They courted arrest when police prevented them from defying Section 144 and moving towards the civil secretariat, they said. A JSM spokesman said the agitation was to protest ''anti-Jammu, pro-terrorist and opportunist face of the new Government'' and in support of statehood for Jammu. The agitationists were taken to police lines in three buses are likely to be released later in the evening.
