41 Pc voting in third phase of J&K polls

New Delhi: An estimated 41 per cent of the electorate exercised franchise in the third phase of polling for 27 assembly seats spread over four districts in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, the Election Commission said. Anantnag district recorded the lowest turnout of 25 per cent while Kathua saw the highest turnout of voters 59 per cent, Deputy Election Commissioner Sayan Chatterjee told reporters. Fifty six per cent of the electorate cast their votes in Udhampur district while 28 per cent in Pahalgam, he said.
