Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah today said Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf was responsible for the continuing large- scale bloodbath in the State. ''Gen Musharraf is responsible for the large-scale death and destruction in the State in the name of Islam,'' Dr Abdullah said at an election meeting at Ganderbal near here. ''We are Muslims but not Pakistanis. Pakistan is responsible for the assassination of Mirwaiz Moulvi Farooq, Abdul Gani Lone and Qazi Nissar besides several other scholars,'' he said. Dr Abdullah expressed the resolve that Pakistan will never get even an inch of Kashmir. The Chief Minister said that the Pak-sponsored militancy had dealt a crushing blow to the tourism sector in the State. ''We have done a lot to restore normalcy in the State as a result of which shops and other business establishments remain open till late in the evening,'' he claimed. Dr Abdullah said he had given the responsibility of the party to the youth so that they could serve the people of the State effectively. However, the guidance of senior leaders was imperative to enable them to learn from their experiences, he added. Dr. Abdullah highlighted the development works taken by his Government during last six years. He appealed to the people to elect NC candidates.
