NEW DELHI: The Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, today said he had information that the chief of the Hizbul Mujahideen, Syed Salahuddin, had announced a ''reward'' of Rs. 40 lakhs for killing the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah, and the Union Minister, Omar Abdullah, and Rs. 10 lakhs for gunning down a candidate. ''What kind of people are we dealing with? Terrorism is bad in itself, this is more than that. I regard the attacks on the J&K Assembly, Parliament House and the recent incidents of violence against candidates as an assault on democracy,'' Mr. Advani said.
