Srinagar: Welcoming Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee''s offer to rectify ''mistakes'' of the past in Jammu and Kashmir as a bold move, Democratic Freedom Party leader Shabir Ahmad Shah said on Thursday the Centre should not commit any more mistakes and show a flexible approach towards talks to resolve the J&K issue. ''Vajpayee''s admission is a bold move. New Delhi should not commit any more mistakes which would delay the resolution of Kashmir issue,'' Shah said. ''When we accept the talks offer, we are showing our flexibility in reaching a solution. India and Pakistan should also respond similarly so that peace can return to the subcontinent once again,'' Shah said. He asked the Prime Minister to invite the separatist leaders for talks for a long lasting solution ''to the miseries of peoples of Jammu and Kashmir, India and Pakistan''. Commenting on Vajpayee''s statement that the government would talk to elected representatives of the state on the issue of devolution of more powers, Shabir Shah said, ''Autonomy and devolution of powers is the baby of National Conference and (BJP spokesman) Arun Jaitley. We have nothing to do with it.''
