MUZAFFARABAD: Chairman of Muttahida Jihad Council Azad Kashmir, Syed Salahuddin has said the LoC is not a permanent border, and crossing the border is the basic right of the Kashmiris, which is accordance with the UN charter. In an interview to the NNI, he said, ''we are not bound to accept all the obligation which the government of Pakistan has under the international pressure.'' He said the US wanted to curb all freedom movements for the continuation of its World Order and its strategic advantages. The impression, ''The freedom movement is pro- Pakistani and Pakistan supported it'' should be dispelled, Salahuddin said. He said the freedom movement is going through a crucial time in the aftermath of September 11, and India is trying its best to malign the Kashmir freedom movement through propaganda. He said India terms the Kashmir movement cross-border terrorism in order to make the upcoming elections successful in the Indian-held Kashmir. Salahuddin said Indian government had always used Farooq Abdullah and his son as a symbol of the so-called democracy in held Valley.''All Indian print and electronic media blamed Pakistan for all the activities in the Indian-held Kashmir but we wanted to make it clear that the freedom movement is indigenous, we would never accept these allegations'', he maintained.
