Jammu: The mood in Jammu, especially Kaluchak where terrorists mowed down 30 people on Tuesday, was one of anger and disappointment on Saturday. Those who exhibited their exasperation over the Centre''s subdued reactions to acts of terrorism, during Defence Minister Fernandes''s visit here on Wednesday, appeared even more angry. The decision to ask the Pakistan High Commissioner to go back to his country was nothing but a self-defeating exercise, they felt. People felt it made more sense to attack and destroy terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK than to ask a diplomat to leave in anticipation that the US would exert pressure on Islamabad to stop cross-border terrorism. ''We were eagerly awaiting the CCS decision. When we came to know about it, I must tell you I felt like hanging my head in shame,'' a senior security officer said. ''Is this the way we are avenging the murders of our women and children?'' he asked.
