Jammu: Under the terror of gun, they kidnapped him, chopped his ears and nose and later killed him. This has been the second incident in the past one week when foreign terrorists have committed such a gruesome murder in Rajouri district of Jammu. On the night of February 13, a group of five-six terrorists kidnapped Mohammad Tazim, 53, from Bachia village in Thanamandi tehsil of Rajouri district late in the evening. Tazim was taken to the woods, where the terrorists tortured him before killing him. According to police reports, the victim was the father of Mohammad Yasin, a Special Police Office (SPO) working with the Rajouri police. Investigations have revealed that the terrorists came to kill the SPO but when they failed to find him, they killed his father instead. Police sources in Rajouri revealed that two years ago, two foreign terrorists were killed near Tazim''s house. Since then, on several occasions, terrorists had threatened his family with dire consequences as they suspected that their comrades were killed on the basis of information provided by the SPO to the security forces. Earlier, on February, the terrorists in a similar incident had chopped off the nose, ears and lips of one Hussain of Sain Samit village, 12 km from Rajouri town. Hussain later succumbed to his injuries at the Medical College Hospital Jammu. In that incident too, the militants suspected him of being a informer.
