NEW DELHI: Rejecting Hurriyat Conference''s decision to form a parallel election commission to oversee its own elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the government on Tuesday said that the country''s Election Commission, which was internationally recognised as being free from political interference, would conduct the Assembly polls.''At the end of the day, the Assembly election is to be supervised by the Election Commission, which is today internationally recognised as being completely free from political interference,'' Minister of State for External Affairs Omar Abdullah told Star News.If the Hurriyat was not willing to participate in the elections to the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly ''it does not matter'', Abdullah said.
