Hizb commander killed in Doda

JAMMU: Security forces on Saturday gunned down a self-styled commander of pro-Pakistani, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen outfit, in a gunfight in Moghal Maidan Hills of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir, according to official sources here.During a search, the gunfight broke out with militants near their hideout in the hills, leaving one militant killed and another injured. Other militants escaped, they said.One AK rifle, four magazines and 130 rounds besides a wireless set and a radio were recovered from the encounter scene, they said.Another hideout of militants in Kotranaka Forest area of Rajouri district was also busted by troops on Saturday. A large quantity of arms and explosive material was recovered.
