Six injured in Pak shelling, firing

Jammu: Six people were injured, two of them critically, when Pakistani troops resorted to shelling and small arms firing along the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border in Jammu-Poonch sector since Friday night, official sources said on Saturday. Indian troops retaliated and loss on the other side was not known, they said. Two civilians were injured and a house was damaged on Saturday when Pakistani troops fired rockets and mortar shells on some civilian areas along the LoC in Poonch area. They also resorted to small and medium firing, the sources said. Four persons, including two jawans, were injured, two of them critically, in heavy firing by Pakistani troops on defence and civilian areas along the border in R S Pura, Samba, Akhnoor and Hiranagar areas on Friday night, they added.
