Rein in terrorists, Hizb tells foreign Groups 12 December 2001 The Hindustan Times
Srinagar: The Hizbul Mujahideen, the only militant group with local cadres operating in Jammu and Kashmir, has served a note of warning to foreign-dominated militant outfits like Al-Badr-e-Mujahideen, Lashkar- e-Tayyeba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen and Harkat-e-Jihad- e-Islami to purge their ranks of ''terrorists'' or face consequences. Some of these militant groups were indulging in ''terrorist'' activities, the Hizb said, and if they were not reined in ''we know how to retaliate''. The Hizb warning came in a statement by its north Kashmir''s divisional commander on Tuesday. These militants have been accused of murdering two Hizbul commanders.
