Infiltration bid foiled, 3 ultras among 4 killed

JAMMU: Four people, including three militants, were killed and two policemen injured in separate incidents across Jammu division, where security forces foiled an infiltration bid from across the Line of Control (LoC) since Thursday, according to official. A Hizbul-e- Islami militant was killed when troops challenged a group of ultras trying to sneak into India via Tarkundi area in Rajouri district Thursday, the sources said, adding others managed to cross back to Pakistan occupied Kashmir(PoK). The slain militant was identified as Tusail Hussain of Pakistan, they said, adding an AK-56 rifle with two magazines and 30 rounds, as well as two handgrenades were recovered from him. Security forces shot dead two ultras in an encounter in Shindra forest area of poonch district Thursday evening. In a case of mistaken identity, BSF shot dead a labourer in a field near the international border in Kathua district Thursday evening, sources said. Meanwhile, two police constables were injured when militants opened fire at a patrol party in Udhampur district, they added.
