Lashkar militant killed in Doda

JAMMU: Security forces shot dead a Lashkar-e-Taiba militant in Doda district while subversives torched three houses in Poonch district in Jammu division since Tuesday, official sources said on Wednesday. The sources said an LeT militant was gunned down in an encounter in Marwah area of Doda district on Tuesday evening and some arms and ammunition, including an AK rifle, was recovered from him. In another encounter, a special police officer was injured at Gandoh in Doda district. He was hospitalised, they said. Reports from Poonch district said militants burnt three houses in Seri-Chauhana village of Mandi tehsil on Tuesday night.
