LAHORE: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front on Friday urged the Kashmiris to boycott the elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir alleging that the nationalist Kashmiris were not being allowed to contest these. At a news conference here, JKLF Punjab leader Syed Faisal Nazki said disallowing the nationalist Kashmiris to contest the elections to the Azad Kashmir's legislative assembly was undemocratic. He said their arrests and torture were a conspiracy by the Azad Kashmir government. JKLF leaders urged the Azad Kashmir government to release all arrested leaders and workers of the party or face direct action. They rejected a recent statement by Indian prime minister that the occupied Kashmir was an integral part of India and said the state belonged only to Kashmiri people. They urged the United Nations to force India to withdraw its forces from the occupied Kashmir. Those talking of division of the state, they said, were Indian and American agents. The Kashmiri people, they said, would foil their designs.
