Army in full agreement with Govt policy on J&K

New Delhi: Army is in full agreement with the Government policy on peace process in Jammu and Kashmir as defence authorities have been consulted at all stages of the non initiation of combat operations, the Lok Sabha was informed today. Replying to a written question in the House, minister of state for home Vidyasagar Rao said inputs from the local formation of the Army are received by the Government at a regular basis. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir have welcomed the step by the Government. However there has not been any positive response from the militant groups so far. He said K C Pant deputy chairman ,Planning Commission has been nominated by the Government for holding political dialogue with all sections of the people of the state with a view to promote a vigorous movement towards establishment of peace and tranquility.
