Two militants among five killed in Jammu

Jammu: Five people, including a woman and two militants, were killed in separate militancy-related incidents in Jammu division since Tuesday evening, official sources said here on Wednesday. The Border Security Force (BSF) troops gunned down two militants in an encounter at Kalakote area of Rajouri district on Tuesday evening, they said. The security forces recovered two automatic firearms with two magazines and four handgrenades from the slain militants, whose identity was yet to be ascertained, the sources said. In another incident, militants shot dead two persons, Sabra Begum and Abdul Rehman, after abducting them from their residences at Bhatidhar village in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district, they said. Ultras fired on an employee of cooperative society,Ghulam Mohammad Khandey, at Kishtwar in Doda district, the sources said, adding Khandey succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.
