New Delhi: Home Minister L K Advani today said recent attack on Sikh community in Srinagar was aimed at triggering a 'second migration" from the Kashmir Valley. "The recent attacks are to precipitate the second phase of migration from the Valley. First, it was Kashmiri Pandits and now it is member of another minority community," Advani said after inaugurating a photo-exhibition by well known artist Kamala Vardan. The attacks were also to disrupt the peace process initiated by the Centre, the Home Minister said. The Centre, he said, has asked Jammu and Kashmir government to give a report on the police firing in Jammu yesterday, which claimed the life of a Sikh protestor and left 29 injured. "We have asked for the report from the state government on what happened in Jammu yesterday leading to the death of a protestor," Advani said. One person was killed in police firing and over 50, including 30 policemen, were injured when demonstrators, protesting Saturday's killing of six Sikhs in Srinagar, took to the streets defying curfew and clashing with police in the city yesterday.
