3 Hizb militants among 4 killed in J&K

Jammu: FOUR PERSONS, including three Hizbul Mujahideen militants, were killed in Jammu division where security forces busted a militant hideout since yesterday, official sources said today. Three Hizbul militants were shot dead by the special operation group(SOG) in an encounter in Mohra-Bachai area of Poonch district last evening, they said. The slain militants, identified as Qari-Ziaul-Qamarcode Yazdani, Mohammad Nisar and Shah Fazal, belonged to Pakistan occupied Kashmir(PoK), the sources said. A huge cache of arms and ammunition including two AK-56 rifles alongwith its 10 magazines and 20 rounds, two rifle grenades and 10 electronic detonators, was recovered from the encounter site. The body of one Mohammed Shafi, who was abducted by militants from his house in Udinpur village in Doda district a few days back, was found near Kulhind Nullah yesterday, they said. Two more encounters took place at Trankal-Tanta and Thanoo in Doda district during the period, they said. However, the militants escaped. SOG personnel smashed a hideout in Mathola forest of Doda district and recovered five kgs explosive material, one AK magazine, 29 AK rounds, two detonator fuse and wire, four grenades, one pistol magazine, six pistol rounds and 35 lmg rounds, they said.
