Lone discusses Kashmir with Musharraf

Islamabad: Senior leader of the All Parties Hurriat Conference Abdul Ghani Lone Saturdayheld a detailed meeting with Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf and discussed with him the Kashmir issue, a Pakistan-based leader of the Lone’s Peoples Conference said. “Lone sahib was satisfied with his one-and-half hour one-to-one meeting,” Shir Dil told NNI at the temporary residence of Abdul Ghani Lone in Islamabad. However, he did not give further details as to what specific issues were discussed in the meeting. Meanwhile, Syed Yousaf Nasim, former convener of the APHC Pakistan chapter told reporters that General Musharraf renewed his dialogue offer with India at any place and at any level to peacefully settle the Kashmir dispute. “General Musharraf reiterated Pakistan’s stand to continue the country’s diplomatic, political and moral support to Kashmiris,” Nasim said. Nasim quoted Lone as saying General Musharraf is sincere to find out a peaceful settlement of the long-standing Kashmir issue.
