Indus water treaty harming J & K Interests

Srinagar: Jammu and kashmir Industries and Commerece Minister Mustafa Kamaal has asked the center to announce expeditiously the special economic package for rehabilitation of industries in the state. Kamaal said that the state is faced with peculiar situation due to militancy and locational disadvantage that has affected its economy. The center must devise ways and means to encourage investment for promotional of industries as the state has made the lowest - 0.01 percent of the total industrial investment made in the country so far, Kamaal said. He added that out of an investment of RS 2,04,000 crore in the public sector, J & K received just Rs 18 crore.
